CRYING THE NECK – WHEAT DIPA w/ VERDANT BREW Co 8.0%

A collaborative, ritualistic WHEAT DIPA plotted, forged and cooked up with Falmouth’s Herculean VERDANT BREW Co.

A Pilsner malt base is churned and choked up with 40% of wheat variation.

Full bodied, foamy and fat with a balanced wheat imparted dry tartness.

CITRA, NELSON and MOTUEKA take rank over rank, drilling up a tropically charged cool whip of intoxicating fresh fruit smash.

Heavy Hitter

Presenting our new heavy weight contester: HEAVY HITTER!! This triple IPA is brewed with a quadruple hop blend, oats, wheat, and maize to make it smooth and tropical, be careful though because this is a true belter weighing in at 10.5% ABV and it’s hopdiet consists of Cryo Loral, Mosaic, Enigma and Azacca hops. Containers chosen for this one Is 44cl cans and 20L keykegs so sharing is possible and recommended!

Modern Antique

A decade or two ago the West Coast IPA (style dear to our hearts, known for its bold pine/citrus hop profile & high bitterness) was at the forefront of the craft beer revolution. We are giving our modern take on this classic style with loads of Citra, Mosaic, Simcoe and Chinook to give that characteristic dank, resinous flavour with a crystal clear golden appearance that will twinkle in the spring weather.

While MODERN ANTIQUE will still have enough noticeable hop-bite, it’s not trying to break the IBU-scale so that you’re still able to taste something other than palate-wrecking bitterness after one beer.

A lustrous will coat your tongue letting the dank, hoppy resin linger with every sip.

TIME ON CALM

„Double Brown Ale brewed in collaboration with our neighbours Oddity Brewing

Ivan Raho has been a friend of ours for a long time and we have chatting about brewing something to together for a long time. And here it is. A big malty double brown ale. The recipe was formulated on a friday afternoon over a few drinks at the brewery and we all got very excited by it. Brown ale may not be the sexiest style in the world and it is terribly underappreciated style by beer drinkers. This beer is designed to set the record straight. Packed with flavours of toffee, caramel, biscuit, light roast coffee and a hint of chocolate but without the harsher roast flavours of stout and porter. We loaded this one up with flaked oats to really create a smooth mouthfeel but fermented adequatley down to ensure drinkability. With just a bittering addition of hops, this is balanced very much towards malty. Traditional English Brown malt leads the creating light coffee notes, then biscuit malt gives a rich depth of biscuit and toasted breadcrust. A slight addition of debittered chocolate malt gives a touch of chocolate and espresso. This is tied together with an english crystal malt to sweeten up these flavours with toffee and caramel notes. We didn’t skimp on the base malt either as the king of malty bases Maris Otter does the heavy lifting ensuring deep malt flavours come from every angle. This is one to sip in front of a nice warm fire over the cold winter months. „

Black Scottish Stout

Belhaven Black Scottish Stout really is something completely different. Bursting with roast coffee and chocolate flavours, this is a truly genuine and premium pint. Brewed using pure Scottish water and a unique blend of Scottish triple malts sourced from the finest locally grown barley.

Belhaven Black was launched across the UK on 23rd January 2012. A day of Scottish pride indeed. Bottles will be available in your local supermarket from April 2012.

Above The Clouds

If you walk onto the brew floor any given day, you’ll likely hear the guys playing a lot of late 90’s to early 00’s NY hip hop. Around 2 weeks ago we were brewing this still unnamed beer while “Above The Clouds” by Gang Starr was playing. Considering the recipe and style of what was cooking, we thought it would be a good nod to name it after the song playing and from one of our favorite groups around here.

Above the Clouds uses a heavy oat base and a whirlpool blend of Citra and Idaho 7. We then dry hopped it with Citra and the largest dose of Nelson to date and just a touch of lactose to really elevate its already velvety feel. It’s pours an opaque bright straw yellow with flavors of mixed citrus, a touch of sweet pine, gooseberry and faint notes of white wine grapes. The Nelson hops are showcased well and we find the flavors deep and complex while the #EQjuice finish is smooth and velvety thanks to our hopping processes. We want to shout out one of our earliest local supporters, Anthony Q., for supplying the background picture for this label from a recent flight.

My Continuous Improvement Black Forest

Imagine baking a Black Forest gateau with our much loved double-chocolate My Continuous Improvement Imperial Stout, and then brewing an Imperial Cake Ale with cake after cake after cake, layering up sweet chocolate, cherry, tonka, and vanilla.
It’s been an awful year. Take a moment to treat yourself to the indulgent 11% ABV drinking cake.
